Pop-up & Handmade Arcade

Did you see the Backpack no.2 in deep sage green? Years ago, when I very first started Moop, I made one style of bag..The Market Bag and I made it in two shades of sage. I made about a thousand of them in year one. It was one of my all time favorite color combinations but I was using deadstock fabric and once it was gone, it was gone. When I came across this green waxed canvas, it reminded me of that original bag almost ten years ago and at this moment in time, i fell in love with it again.

p.s. on thursday Moop will be making a rare appearance at a small pop up in the top of the PPG building in downtown PGH at Industrious HQ I’m looking forward to seeing that view! I almost never ever do events outside of our studio but, i’m looking forward to this one. It’s put on by one of my favorite organizers, Michael from Urbanist Pgh. And, on Saturday, a whole bunch of my friends will be participating in Handmade Arcade go see them and buy all of their amazing things. Kirkiture makes incredible lamps. I want them all. Lauren Fraley makes the wildest most intricate beaded talisman pins. you will want the one that is right for you. Murphi Cook makes hand puppets and if you ever get to see one of her performances you will be reminded of why we should support artists all the time. she’s amazing. Oatmeal Shop makes that famous knot necklace of which I own a bunch as well as a super oversized huge one that hangs on my wall in my kitchen. It’s one of my favorite things. Knotzland makes bowties in a community driven kind of way that will make you want to buy one for every event you have to attend. Reiko Yamamoto makes all of the dishes in my entire house. plus we have some here in our shop. plus she’s one of my favorite humans. you’ll feel the same when you sip coffee out of her ten ten cups. Bombabird is a new favorite whose work I instantly fell in love with. i didn’t get one of her ombre mugs in time…won’t sleep on that one the next time they're available. there are so many others whose work&spirits i love.
