I spent the weekend all over this region, oyster sunsets, ferry rides to islands we dream about living on, Sunday dinner, open air markets and generally just carving out time to be very present so I can enjoy the spectacular landscape in which I now live. I am deep into the great life recalibration I started when I moved away from Pittsburgh and it has been quite a ride ever since. I’m still unsure if this is my forever home but, sharing oysters with friends, directly from the shellfish farm, while the tide comes in and the sun sets in the background, are moments I’m holding onto forever.
On Sunday morning, we went down to Pike Place Market with this Utility Tote - one of my all time favorite bags. I always have one with me, along with this thermos filled with ice water and a Tiny Zip for organization (I clip it onto the key fob). I use it for groceries the most because it has enough structure that my groceries don't get crushed when I fill it up and walk home. It's also what I carry as a gym bag, often as a daily use tote and almost always when I'm going to a dinner party.
Enjoy the here and now.
