Slow evolutions of a store front.
When we moved into this space we made all of the furniture we had built in past spaces work in this new space. And, it worked pretty well, except it was never designed for display…rather, it was designed for inventory storage in an open workshop we inhabited in The North Side several years ago. It’s all beautiful and is furniture that my own personal labor went into building. But, it made our storefront space feel a little dark so, we moved it to the back to help us organize the stacks of bags that accumulate and asked the incredibly talented Mitre Box Pittsburgh to build us some custom shelving. Brandon has been amazingly patient working with me as we make slow and steady improvements to this space. He also built our cabinets and surfaces in the front of house. He does amazing work! We are waiting on a large mirror to arrive to fill the space between the shelves but, in the meantime, we’ve brought those driftwood branches back…I love those things❤️
