Spending this sunny Saturday outside. First in the studio for a bit. Hopefully in a kayak for at least part of it. Definitely on a bike for at least some of it. Bringing my Backpack no1 filled with everything I’ll need: towel, dry clothes, snacks, maybe cans of picnic wine, a book. Speaking of books...I love when I meet fellow readers. They’re hard to come by and are some of my favorite people. Last week I had a conversation with someone about a book I had started and never finished but had a strong sentimental place in my heart. A few days later a package with my name on it arrived and it was that book! Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut. It was a lovely gesture and I’m going to read it again, completely this time, while on vacation. Book people are good people!! Also, I booked that vacation!! In a few weeks I’m actually going to take some real time off. I can’t wait!!
