Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving! This is the first time in over a decade that I have not hosted anyone or been with a group of people for thanksgiving dinner. There has been so much going on the last few weeks…really the last few months…actually like the whole last year, that I welcome this moment where I can stay at home, cook Thanksgiving for just two and have a very low key day. This has been a year of a lot of changes. Lots of recalibrating of how we do things but, I’m feeling very thankful for the people I have around me, new friends, old friends, those who housed my daughter and taught her new skills and sensibilities and the resulting friendship, the business that fuels my everyday, Jesse, Jeff, Michelle and Chelsey who all help to make that happen. My daughter who impresses me over and over and my friend Lena for loaning me her Crock Pot because mine was too small for a turkey and my house does not have an oven. And my friend Andrew who measured and sent photos of his slow cooker to see if his would work. And Jeff who was ready to loan me his dutch oven bc I was sure I could just cook a turkey stovetop. It takes a village.

Hope you are spending the day doing everything you love.
Many many many thanks for being a part of this great big adventure with me.
